Important Dates

  • Auditions for Advanced and Elite band students will start at 10:00 for  woodwinds and 11:00 for brass and percussion on Friday, August 12th at Eastside Baptist Student Center.  If you are a new student entering our program above the beginner level, you will need to audition too.
  • Auditions for Intermediate and Chamber Orchestra will will start at 11:30 on Friday, August 12th at Eastside Baptist Student Center.  If you are a new student entering our program above the beginner level, you will need to audition too.
  • Auditions for Youth Chorus Students will start at 11:00 on Friday, August 12th at Eastside Baptist Student Center.
  • Instrument fittings for all beginner band and orchestra students will be held on Friday, August 12th at 10:00 at Eastside Baptist Student Center.  Please be on time.  All string, woodwind and brass instruments will be demonstrated and your student will get a chance to try some out to see where they might best fit.
  • Classes will start on Friday, August 19th. Please see the schedule for class times.
  • The Orchestra, Symphony and Chorus concert will be on November 11th at 7:00.  Location TBA.
  • The Band, Jazz and Ensemble concert will be on November 18th at 7:00.  Location TBA.
  • Recorder Recitals will be held on the Main Stage at the Student Center on November 18th at 1:15 for beginners and 1:45 for Intermediate students.
  • The Joyful Noisemaker Recital will be held on the Main Stage at the Student Center on November 18th at 2:45.
  • The guitar classes will not be performing this fall, instead they’ll be working on a recording project with Mr. Garwood.
  • Spring concert dates are as follows: April 20th is the Band, Ensemble, Jazz Concert will be held at Eastside Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
  • The Orchestra, Chorus, Guitar concert will be held on April 27th at Eastside Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
  • The Recorder and Joyfulnoise Makers Recital will be held during class time on April 27th.
  • May 4th will be a picnic in East Cobb park at noon.

Classes are offered on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at:

Eastside Baptist Church Student Center
2450 Lower Roswell Road
Marietta, GA 30068-3699.

To get to the student center going south on Lower Roswell, you’ll pass the main worship center and the Christian activity Center and turn in before you get to the playground.  The student center is the half-rounded taupe building nearest the playground.  You may drive under and drop your students off before parking and coming in.

2011- 2012 Schedule

Fall Semester starts August 19th and ends November 18th.
There will be no band on September 2nd due to the Labor Day holiday.

Spring Semester starts January 6th and ends May 4th with a Joyfulnoise picnic in the park.
There will be no band on April 6th due to the Good Friday Holy Day.
