The Marching Saints

The Marching Saints had their inaugural year in the fall of 2007. We marched 40 strong including wind players, a drum line, two drum majors, 2 banner carriers and color guard. We participated in 2 football games and 3 parades. We took home a 2nd place trophy at one parade and a 3rd place trophy in another. We are a band that is "Marching with a Mission". We not only want to have fun, march proudly and play well; we want to honor God in all of our endeavors.

Come on and join us if you are willing to work hard, come to practices, come to performances, and have a fun time!

Eligibility and Requirements

Students who are 12 years and older and have 2 years of playing experience or more are eligible to participate in the Joyful Noise Marching Saints. If you are a wind player, you are required to enroll in a Joyful Noise Concert Band in addition to the Marching Band. Color Guard and Drum Line members need to enroll in a Joyful Noise class as well.

We can use wind players, percussionist, string players, chorus members, and keyboard players. Most wind players will play their instrument in the wind section. We may use the other member's musical skills in the drum line, drum pit or color guard.

Every rehearsal scheduled is vital to the outcome of our performances. If you are a part of the Marching Saints, you are required to attend the camps, rehearsals and scheduled performances. Occasional absences may be tolerated but not encouraged.  Excused absences include illness or death in the family. If you have excessive absences, you will be dismissed from the Marching Saints.

Here is the 2009 schedule as we know it. We are still waiting on some dates. As soon as they are available, we will add them to the schedule.

If you play the piano, we can use you on bells!
