About the Saints

The Joyful Noise Marching Saints is a Christian, multi-category, award-winning homeschool Marching Band established in 2008. Our founder Susan Davis had the vision that no home-educated child should miss out on the experience of music because it isn’t available or affordable. This vision continues to guide the band’s policies.

We strive to provide the same experience your student would have in a band program at a brick-and-mortar school.  With our many community supporters, we are able to provide high school level programs to students 12 and up, at affordable prices.  Our Band consists of our Winds, Percussion, and Color Guard.

What do we do?

The Joyful Noise Marching Saints perform at football game halftime shows, parades, competitions, and occasionally local charity events.

Halftime Shows

We have marched for various football programs including The Kings Academy, Johnsons Ferry Christian Academy, and The North Georgia Falcons.  During the football game, The Saints play exciting stand tunes to keep the crowd motivated for our home team! Next, the marching band entertains the crowd at halftime with a professionally written field show. Each year our field show has a different theme.

Jr. Pep Band is composed of younger students, who complement the marching band playing the songs in the stands at football games. They are wonderful young people learning about marching band for the very first time. This program is excellent for siblings of marching students not quite old enough to join, and students ready to "play with the band"

Parades

The Marching Saints perform in 2 to 4 local parades each year.

Festivals and Competition

The Marching Saints is a competitive marching band. We generally, participate in two to three competitions each fall. Each is designed to give us feedback on our performance.  Judges' comments help the directors know what areas we have mastered and give suggestions on areas that could improve our marching.  We get awards based on how we perform, and we've consistently earned "Excellent" and "Superior" ratings! Regardless of how we fall in the competition, we always strive to do our personal best and have a great time!
